Today's workout started with 5 min on the row machine. I thought I was drained around 2:15 into it. That's when Paolo came over and said "Chrisy, you should have the resistance at 5!"... FML.. I'd been rowing at resistance 10. Silver lining though - I guess I wasn't that doomed.... NOT YET!
The other 4 people in my group were all in their 3rd class... so voila... "Chrisy, you're going to do class 3 too!". Errrrr.... ok...
Today's lessons:
- Overhead squat
- Sumo dead lift
- Jump pull-ups
- Burpees
- Kettleball lift
Yippee!!!
Followed by 15 minutes of:
15 x jump pull-ups
10 x burpees
15 x kettleball lifts
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat
I was halfway through my third round when Paolo yelled out "1 minute left! GO GO GO!". 60 seconds seems like an eternity when you're doing burpees. For those of you who don't know what a burpee is... it has nothing to do with lying on your mom's chest while they rub your back! Squat, put hands down, jump legs back into plank, push up, jumps legs to hands, jump up and clap! I was pretty sure that I was clapping out of rhythm but honestly... I didn't give a F&$#!!!
3...2...1... plop!
It`s crazy huh? One burpee takes only a few seconds so really you`d think we could pump out a ton of them in no time - but oh they also KICK YOUR @SS something fierce!!!! So alas lots of breaks are needed to ensure your heart doesn`t end up on the floor in front of you.....
