Life has been so busy in the past couple of weeks that my training has taken the backseat a little bit. Still going on a few rides a week but no Crossfit and no yoga at HappyTree. Makes me a little sad :( But my riding is definitely improving which makes me less panicky :)
Was scheduled to go out on my first 100+km ride yesterday, but that didn't happen. It was also my first ride through the city which scared me a little bit. Cars scare me a little bit. LOL. Got stuck in my pedals a couple of times at a stop light and almost fell off my bike and almost ran into Patrick a few times, but the key word is ALMOST. I still haven't wiped out yet... the key word being YET. Hahaha. I guess that will most probably come once I get clips... :)
I started a new job this week and it's been awesome!!! I'm seriously loving the 10sec commute :) All of a sudden, I've gained 2 hours to my day and it's fabulous!!! Although discipline is now the key as I'm working from home! But so far so good!! I do miss the people from my old work though. I miss the daily interactions with people... but this is going to change very quickly as I'll be travelling for the next couple of months for work training, so I won't be home much. Wooohooo!!! But that also puts a bit of a damper on my workout schedule. So I'll be tweaking that for the next couple of months. My brother, who is the King of work travel, recently started the "Insanity" program, as it can all be done in his hotel room and dropped some serious weight... so I will give that a shot for the next little while and hopefully will help!!!
Going to try to get a 50km ride in today... surprisingly I'm not too sore from yesterday! LOL!
